Michael Jackson was 50 years old when he died and although that was more than six years ago, the King of Pop’s legacy lives on. Thriller Live, a spectacular concert created to celebrate the career of the world’s greatest entertainer, is in New Zealand for the first time. In London’s West End the show has entered its seventh year.
Unlike other tribute musicals such as Mamma Mia and We Will Rock You, this show is just over two hours of non-stop Jackson hits, which gives true credit to the popularity and success of all his music.
Sean Christopher portrays the great King of Pop in a surreal way as he performs Billy Jean with all the movements and actions associated with Michael Jackson without showing his face until the song is over.
Thriller Live plays at the Civic Theatre Auckland.
